Symbols and motifs behind chinese culture are no longer tales heard on television or recalled through the lips of her mother and isolated in diasporic communities of a 5 block radius. Her heritage is real, holds countless generations of tradition, and is no longer just some far away land simplified into stereotypes or gated by her simple Chinese abilities.
